  • Fitting of the Hg 4f photoemission spectrum for the element (research grade), data were provided by Vincent Crist (The use of the spectrum requires acknowledging XPS library website, https://xpslibrary.com/, the data is copyrighted). The main peak was modeled by two doublets, the main one with a Voigt line shape and the second with a Gaussian line shape. The peaks after 110 eV correspond to the structure of mercury and were modeled as Gaussians. The total background was modeled with a combination of a Tougaard type background and the interchannel coupling with valence band losses background.

  • Fitting of the Hg 4f photoemission spectrum for the element (research grade), data were provided by Vincent Crist (The use of the spectrum requires acknowledging XPS library website, https://xpslibrary.com/, the data is copyrighted). The main peak was modeled by a doublet correlated with the DL line shape. The peaks after 110 eV correspond to the mercury structure and were modeled as Gaussians. The total background was modeled with a combination of a Tougaard type background and the interchannel coupling with valence band losses background.
