Post "Fitting of the Hg 4f photoemission spectrum from pure Mercury using a Double Lorentzian lineshape."

Fitting of the Hg 4f photoemission spectrum for the element (research grade), data were provided by Vincent Crist (The use of the spectrum requires acknowledging XPS library website, https://xpslibrary.com/, the data is copyrighted). The main peak was modeled by a doublet correlated with the DL line shape. The peaks after 110 eV correspond to the mercury structure and were modeled as Gaussians. The total background was modeled with a combination of a Tougaard type background and the interchannel coupling with valence band losses background.
