Oxidation of ultra-pure copper film in a quartz tubular furnace at 300°C for 3h, to achieve a full oxidation. The equipment employed to acquire X-ray photoelectron spectra was assembled by Intercovamex (Morelos, Mexico); the experimental data collection instrumentation consists of an XR5 monochromatic Al Kα1 (hν = 1486.7 eV) X-ray source and a hemispheric spectrometer model XPS110 equipped with a seven-channel electron multiplier detector provided by ThermoFisher (East Grinstead, UK).
