Post "Fitting of the Pb 4f photoemission spectrum from pure Lead using a Voigt lineshape"

Fitting of the Pb 4f photoemission spectrum for the element (research grade), data were provided by Vincent Crist (The use of the spectrum requires acknowledging XPS library website, https://xpslibrary.com/, the data is copyrighted). The main peak was modeled with two Voigt doublets and a Gaussian doublet, but despite this, it was not possible to resolve the maximum of the 7/2 and 5/2 components, in addition to the slopes after 140 eV. The total background was modeled with a combination of a Tougaard type background and the interchannel coupling with valence band losses background.
