Fitting of the Tl 4f photoemission spectrum from pure Thallium using a Doniach-Sunjic lineshape (Tl 4f forum)
The main peak was modeled with a doublet with a D&S lineshape and a Gaussian doublet. Although this is a good fit, it is not able to reproduce the maximum in components 7/2 and 5/2. The total background was modeled with a combination of a Tougaard type background and the interchannel coupling with valence band losses background.
