    The background was modeled with a Tougaard background (calculated with a NiO-specific energy loss function) and a Narrow-Shirley background correlated for the main and satellite features, Sample was processed at the Nanofilm Processing and Characterization Laboratory, Cinvestav-Queretaro, Mexico. Ni was sublimated on a silicon substrate at high vaccum and then transferred into a tubular furnace for the oxidation
