  • Fitting of the Pt 4f photoemission spectrum from a poly crystalline Pt foil, data were published by Engelhard and Baer. (accession #0057102). The spectrum was fitted employing five doublets. The asymmetry of the main line is reproduced with one Double-Lorentzian doublet. The branching ratio was forced to be equal to the theoretically expected value (0.7873), which was taken from the Scofield tables. Data were obtained from: Mark Engelhard and Don Baer, "Third Row Transition Metals by X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy", Surface Science Spectra 7, 1-68 (2000) https://doi.org/10.1116/1.1311915Read more
