Post "Fitting of the Au 4f photoemission spectrum from pure Gold using a Doniach-Sunjic lineshape."

Fitting of the Au 4f photoemission spectrum for the element (research grade), data were provided by Vincent Crist (The use of the spectrum requires acknowledging XPS library website, https://xpslibrary.com/, the data is copyrighted). The main peak was modeled by two doublets, the main one with a D&S line shape and the second one with a Gaussian line shape. The fit with this line shape does not allow the maxima of the 7/2 and 5/2 components to be resolved. The total background was modeled with a combination of a Tougaard type background and the interchannel coupling with valence band losses background.
