    Fitting of the Rh 3d photoemission spectrum for the element (research grade), data were provided by Vincent Crist (The use of the spectrum requires acknowledging XPS library website, https://xpslibrary.com/, the data is copyrighted). In this approach, the main signal was fitted with a Doniach-Sujic peak and an additional Voigt peak was required to improve the fitting. The total background was modeled under the active background approach in which the extrinsic background was modeled with a Tougaard type background, while the intrinsic background was represented with a Narrow Shirley background and a set of symmetric peaks.
