Post "Fitting of the Mo 3d photoemission spectrum from metallic molybdenum using a Doniach-Sunjic lineshape"

Fitting of the Mo 3d photoemission spectrum for the element (research grade), data were provided by Vincent Crist (The use of the spectrum requires acknowledging XPS library website, https://xpslibrary.com/, the data is copyrighted). The main peak was fitted with one Doniach-Sunjic peak, but it does not reproduce the tip of the two spin-orbit branches and, when zooming in, there is misft in more than one region. The total background was modeled with a combination of a Tougaard type background and the interchannel coupling with valence band losses background.
